How do you manage stress?

What is stress?

Stress is your body’s response to any and all demands or challenges. A little stress can motivate you, but too much stress can affect your mind, body, and soul.

Why manage stress?

Managing stress improves your mood, and helps you live a better life.

Managing stress can be very difficult.

Nothing kills you faster than your own mind. Stop stressing over things that are of your control.

Breathe. Let your mind rest.

Stress needs an outlet, don’t keep it bottled up inside.

If you are not processing it, it stays with you.

Managing stress for me looks like..

Journaling, music, walking and running. Crying helps also, anything that moves the energy.

STRESS needs to exit!!

Ways to manage/reduce stress

Deep breathing: take slow deep breaths, inhale peace, exhale stress. Practice this exercise for 2 minutes.

Get enough sleep: good sleep refreshes your mind, body, and soul. Aim for 7 – 8 hrs daily.

Talk about it: share your feelings with someone you trust. It really helps to lighten the load. Sharing your feelings with a trusted friend can make you feel so much better, it’s like free therapy.

Listen to music: soothing music can calm your mind, it’s like a cool little mini concert.

Manage your time: plan your tasks and priorities, don’t try to do everything all at once.

Walk it off: going for a walk can do wonders, it clears your head.

Do more of what you love: make time for hobbies, and things that bring you happiness.

Eat well and Stay Hydrated: eat healthy food, and drink enough water to keep your mind and body balanced.

Self-care Jar

1. Get you a jar. (Nothing fancy)

2. Write down your favorite self-care ideas on strips of paper.

3. Whenever you’re feeling stressed, or drained pull out a strip from your jar and do that activity.

Gentle Reminder

Self-care is not selfish it’s necessary. Your health and well-being depend on it.

Self-care Quotes
