Years ago, SNL had a skit that ran a few episodes “Lowered Expectations.” Forget who starred in it, but the premise is the same. They would be expecting X and got a much crappier Y. This Debbie Downer bwah bwahhhh would sound, they’d look sadly into the camera and then the jingle: “Lowered Expectations…” 🎶 Great observation 😎
