  1. I wish I had understood more about narcissists and just hurtful behaviors from family at an earlier age. I have put up so much with a couple toxic family members that don’t care that they hurt your feelings , are unsupportive and only contact you when they want something. I have a very small family. I didn’t grow up with any grandmas , aunts , cousins , uncles etc bc both of my parents moved to Ohio away from their families at young age. My mom sent NC with her entire family in her early 20s. My dad would rarely on occasions drive to see his family and take us kids but his family never did the same so I just didn’t grow up with any family except my mom and dad and two sisters and I had a ton of friends. However , my mom was always in a bad mood and just mean all the time. My one sis hated both me and my younger sis. So she never played with us or wanted us around and I honestly loved having sisters. I’m very close to one of them. The other I am not at all. I get sad about it. To this day I have no idea why my one sis is so mean and why my mom still gives me silent treatments and she never checks up on me. She only calls if she wants a ride somewhere. I’m going to write a book because I’m thinking maybe it will help someone going through the same thing. It’s hard to cut a family member or a friend out of your life but sometimes you have to
